The Need For Comprehensive Coverage

George and Beth are a young married couple living in central Florida. They are beginning to assume many of the responsibilities that couples their age encounter. One of the goals they achieved during the last several months was the purchase of their first house. They were able to take advantage of the generous first time buyers tax credit as well as the low interest rates and great deals available in the Florida real estate market. Upon purchase of their home they were required to obtain an Orlando home owners insurance policy. They were happy to do this as they wanted nothing more than to protect their biggest investment. They were able to use the same provider who carries their Orlando automobile insurance policy. Having carried coverage on both of their vehicles for many years, it was natural for them to look to this provider for house coverage as well. This was a smart move as they receive a financial discount for this dual coverage. They found the whole process to be uncomplicated and they had a good relationship with their provider These added policy arrangements got them thinking about other policy options available to them.

George and Beth are expecting their first baby come fall. As young working professionals they had neither one found necessity in the acquisition of whole or term life policies. Truth be told, they had not really even given it a thought. Now that they were educating themselves on the benefits of various policy options, they were intrigued by the protection this type of coverage could provide them. As they thought about bringing a child into the world, they both knew they craved that feeling of safety and security. God forbid the worst happen, but if something should happen to either George or Beth, the remaining partner will have a financial stability and be able to meet the needs of their child. As the old saying goes, “expect the best but plan for the worst.”

As a single guy, self-employed George never concerned himself with health coverage needs. The only illness he had experienced over the past five years was a common cold. He had not determined that personal health coverage was to be of importance in his life. When he married Beth he was able to be included in her company’s group health plan. However, with the impending arrival of a baby, Beth is thinking about reducing the hours she works. This will take her from full-time employee to part-time status. This will greatly affect the health care coverage rates the family pays. George is taking the opportunity to talk with his provider to see what kind of health benefits are available for a self-employed man and his family. Because of his relationship with his agent, and the multiple policies he holds with the provider, he feels confident as he investigates more coverage options.

Knowing what policies are available and looking into the current and future needs of family can be a beneficial exercise. Great coverage can bring security and peace of mind to individuals and families. Finding a provider you trust and who offers affordable coverage may only be a phone call away.

Connor R. Sullivan recently purchased Orlando home owners insurance for his elderly parents who reside in the area. He also purchased Orlando automobile insurance for his daughter.
